Safety Bracelet:

The challenge was to come up with a tool that could be used to create a greater level of security for people who are living in environments where they are at a  greater risk of being victims of violent crimes such as assault, sexual assault, robbery or worse.  This bracelet was designed with the goal of offering someone a way to project a few layers of security to would be attackers. First, as a visual deterrent, secondly, as a means by which to communicate to others in the immediate area that you might be in danger and thirdly, as an eye witness, which can record the incident (in real time) and aid in identifying the perpetrator(s).

         "QuickTime" Plug-In
                        (get it?)

For Halloween (2014), there was a costume challenge: Create a costume that reflects digitally relevant ideas that are prevalent in contemporary society. We decided to go with a double entendre that made use of a very basic object, the outlet, and turn it into an expression of a concept that lives only in the realm of the internet and software programming.   By assigning a QuickTime Player logo to a plug and placing it in a theater in which the process of plugging something in could be acted out, we thought we had cleverly re-imagined how one could express the concept of a very commonly used web based plug-in, known to many as the Quick Time Plug-in.

Materials: 1/8" thick bendi-ply, cardboard, hot glue, spray paint, tape, rope and dowels.
