Deconstructed FlowerUsing a magnet pulled from an old aquarium filter, I created a refrigerator magnet using construction paper, 18 gauge wire and few dabs of glue. I like to think of it as a deconstructed representation of a very colorful flower.
Materials: construction paper, glue, 18 gauge wire, magnetized metal Tools used: x-acto knife, JB Weld, needle nosed pliers |

The Spring
The challenge was to create an object that expressed three types of functions simply through its visual presentation:
1) An ability to twist
2) An ability to compress
3) Invites one to touch the object in a specific spot

Whale Earrings
Creating playful earrings; studs and ones that dangle. Cut from 1/4" sheets of acrylic and bendi-ply wood, based on Illustrator cut files that were uploaded to a laser cutter. Using a variety of combinations of wood and acrylic to create many variations of basically the same form, which was fabricated in 2 sizes, I have played with these whales to see which colors, patterns and combinations of materials work best. The hardware is a combination of home fabricated and manufactured hooks and wire. Hand made gift boxes, made from construction paper.
